I'm currently working on our Pack's website and would like to request adding a link to our Leaders Resource page to your site. I was a pretty frequent visitor when I first started and it was very helpful in getting me acclimated and knowledgable about Scouting. Thank you for your consideration.

I was looking for some ideas for the Pow Wow. I am responsible for the training of the Blue and gold and I am trying to get together a variety of information to hand out. Plus if you read this, before January 24th, I am looking for a craft which is a Cub Scout nut cup. It is made out of pipe cleaners and the little cups they use for communion. I am now involved in Boy Scouts as my boys are at the ages of 22 and 19, so it has been a long time since I did a Blue and Gold so any help would be greatly appreciated. Our theme for this year is Fiesta.

Good site. I am cubmaster of a pack. Wondering how to make an announcement into either a ceremony or game, but the idea is intriguing.
A: Yes, it can be tricky - try burying announcements in run-ons, crazy skits by adults in silly costumes or in a gathering time quiz.

My and husband and I are assuming the roles of cubmaster for our pack, and we are clueless! Your site offered many wonderful ideas that will enhance our next pack PRODUCTION. We are looking forward to a fun and exciting tenure during our son's scouting years. I especially apprecited your comments about the leader's son watching the level of enthusiasm.

Very good ideas on the pack meeting. An area for a new pack that is forming to focus on. I would like to see an online form like a word doc so that the leaders could shoot ideas back and forth (email) until they get a plan. So do you plan 1 or 2 months ahead for the pack meeting?
A:     I have always favored planning a pack meeting at least 6 weeks in advance to give dens that much time to prepare.

The Image appearing in the upper left hand corner of this page, which is 1/2 fleur de lue and 1/2 wolf head is awsome. We are a new Pack starting up. We would be VERY grateful to you if we could use this as the center piece of our Pack flag. Please respond ASAP as we would like to have the flag ready By Blue and Gold at the end of this month. I found the image about a year ago while I was at another pack. My E-mail is at the guestbook sign in. Please respond even if it is a no. Thank you.
A   Your pack is welcome to use anything on the web site.
That particular image was originally used some thirty years ago to silkscreen neckerchiefs for Den Chief training . My wife suggested the idea and I drew it.

We are in the Blue Ridge Mts. Council--Big Lick District--Roanoke, Va. Love your site. It has helped me very much already, as a new Cubmaster. We just had our Scout Sunday, Blue and Gold( had 1 Arrow of Light), and our Pinewood Derby. I served as Primary President, Troop Committee Chairman for a while. Scouting is such a great program for the boys. I have been around Scouting for a while. My husband has been in Scouting for 30 some years. He was Scoutmaster, has taught many training courses, has his 2 National Awards, is serving now as Charter Organizational Representative. So, as you can see, Scouting is in our family. I so appreciate someone like yourself who is there to help other Scouters. Keep up the good work. Yours in Scouting, Mary

I've just started as Cub Master and I am learning. This website is an excellent tool. A suggestion for future revisions: Printable text would be great. There are so many ideas! I sincerely thank you for your time and effort. Jeff
By printable, I guess you mean in something like MS Word or Adobe. Chris Riesel does that quite effectively in Baloo's Bugle. I chose to use html because links work much better.

You can always highlight the text on the web page and copy it to your favorite program, edit and print it from there. Images are mostly .gif files with some .jpg and you should be able to save those (i know some of you have) and use them as you wish. I have no problem with anyone copying anything as long as it's for a legitimate Scouting purpose.Bill

Very commendable. I was looking for some information on the web and ran across your site. Thank You for your dedication and for taking the time to put this information on your site. I have offered to put up and maintain a website for the Sunset Trail District and have been accepted to do it by Benjamin Rowe the District Executive. I would like to use some of your information with either a link to it or to just move some of it to the new Sunset Trail Site if that will be ok with you. I know you are now out of the area and am not sue how much longer you will be willing to continue to suport the Sunset Trail District so this is why I am asking. I feel that by moving the info, to the Sunset Trail Site, we can prolong its use and have it available to a much larger audience of parents and leaders in the District. Again thank you for sharing this and I hope to be hearing from you soon. Please take a look at the website that I have put up for Pack219 and tell me what you think. :-) Building the future of America in our youth Ron Whitby 1st year Webelos Den leader
