The National Scouting Web site has a service
to help you find a pack.
Click on Skip Introduction, and then Find A Pack.
Enter your zip code and that should give you information
to reach the local Scout Council for your area.
Call them and they will know what Cub Packs are close to you.

| COMMENTS: I need some ideas for a craft for a Cub/Parent campout with the theme, "I want to be a Boy Scout." This is a council camp event that I am planning for. It needs to be simple enough for Tiger's with assistance yet complex enough for Webelos. I thought about a Feur de Leis neckerchief slide. Any other ideas? | ||
|
We used PVC slides at the Cub Scout
exhibit at the 2001 Jamboree and it went over very well.
Another simple craft item is film canister rockets, another low
cost project. These always seem popular and work well outdoors.
I recall one out doors event
where it was cool and rainy. the most popular craft item
was cooking banana boats.

| COMMENTS: I love your site!! I'm constantly referring to it for ideas and know-how. I started my cub scouting adventure with my son as a parent in our pack and soon got roped in to be the Wolf DL. I really enjoy working with the boys, it is a true joy to see them grow and develop into fine young men and we have some really fun times. Just recently I was asked to be the Pack Trainer, a job I was a bit reluctant to take on at first, but with some encouragement from our district and COR I am learning how truly valuable good leaders are in a pack. Thank you for making this wonderful resource available, it is a veritable pot 'o gold! :) | ||

| COMMENTS: This work has proven to be one of the best resources I have found when leading my Cub Leader Roundtable. I recommend it as the best place to start and move from there when I lead Cubmaster and Committee Chairman leader-specific training. Read these pages...all of em...and you're on the right track. And remember: The kids don't know you're an engineer or a lawyer or in sales in real-life, they think your job is Cubmaster or Den Leader. And the parents, well, they appreciate that YOU get up in front and lead the songs etc. and they don't have to. Best of luck and much success. | ||
