Thanks do much for putting the sketches and explanations of the types of floats required for the Swimming Sports Pin on your website. We are helping our sons earn their Swimming Pin and I was unable to find the description for these types of floats anywhere else. (We do not have a leader's handbook.) I am much appreciative of your effort. Thanks, Karen Dagnall

Thank You! Your site has made me see the importance of things that I was taking for granted. I did not see the significance of such things as the den doodle, uniforms at den meetings, singing songs and the denner possitions. I am going to re-plan my year lay-out to include these fantastic traditions. Thanks to your site my kids will enjoy things that I may have left out.

Scoutmaster, Troop 208,
Mr. Bill - here I am working with a couple of packs trying to get them ready for transition and they send me your URL as the 'expert' site on Webelos Transition -- wouldn't you know it that you were behind the scenes still making a difference. I looked at your home page and was thrilled to see what you've been up to.
FYI -- The list you have for troops is out-dated -- if you'd like I have a current one. Also, if you'd like to check out our Home page.
Take care my friend - tell Shirley 'Hello' and hope to see you sometime in the future ... on the trail! Peter
Peter and I have colaborated in all sorts of projects over the years, starting spectacular Cub Pack 383, Pow Wows, Train the Trainer and more. Right now, Troop 208 is setting the mark for participation in Good Turn for America.
Great to hear from you Peter!

This is a GREAT website. I am a new leader and have just had two leadership training last week. I find this website incredibly helpful with ideas to taylor activities to the specific group of boys in our den. Am currently looking for skit ideas with the theme of "cooperation". Any ideas??? Oct. 10, 2004
If you can lead them into it, it's best to have the boys make up their own skit following the usual line:
1. Boys want something: build a camp fire, start a rock band, play baseball, whatever.
2. Some obstacle stops them - not enough stuff, don't know how, can't do it alone.
3. Boys overcome obstacle - in this case, by cooperating.
4. Boys are successful in their quest!

The big advantages of doing it this way is that they learn a bit about story telling, communication and public speaking. Also, since they made it up, they are more likely to remember their lines.
