If you can lead them into it, it's best to have the boys make up
their own skit following the usual line: 1. Boys want something: build a camp fire, start a rock band, play baseball, whatever. 2. Some obstacle stops them - not enough stuff, don't know how, can't do it alone. 3. Boys overcome obstacle - in this case, by cooperating. 4. Boys are successful in their quest! The big advantages of doing it this way is that they learn a bit about story telling, communication and public speaking. Also, since they made it up, they are more likely to remember their lines. |
